You see a heavy HR process and you already have three ideas to lighten it with AI? We have exactly the right spot for you.
What You're Here to Do
As HR business partner, you take charge of critical processes that directly affect the employee experience, our efficiency and our ability to scale. You support managers in their decisions, you run the full employee lifecycle and you remain the hands-on point of contact when it really counts, in the good files as much as in sensitive situations. We're looking for someone who already uses AI to multiply their productivity and who is eager to experiment with new ways of doing things.
If you like it when things move, you're organized and resourceful, and you want to help build a modern, clear and efficient HR environment, you'll be in your element.
Pssst: you must be able to come to our Quebec City office every week (at least 3 times a week) to build ties with your crew, so they can talk to you about something other than the weather.
What You'll Drive
- Ownership of HR operations. You manage the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, with surgical rigour in BambooHR and Workleap.
- Processes and AI. If an HR process can be lightened by AI, you're the one who spots it and puts it in place. The goal: cut the administrative load to the bare minimum.
- Supporting managers. Together with the HR director, you advise managers on engagement, performance management and sensitive files (conflicts, disabilities, labour standards). Where they see a blur, you bring out the issue and possible solutions, taking into account the business need, the legal framework and the human need.
- Employee experience and culture. You are the human point of contact, with a business balance. From employee benefits to coordinating parental leaves, you make sure every interaction is smooth and aligned with our culture.
- Performance reviews. You run the whole process, from planning and tools to supporting managers and analyzing follow-ups.
- Analysis and indicators. You produce the HR KPIs, maintain the dashboard and prepare reports for management and the board of directors.
- OHS, compliance and programs. You lead occupational health and safety files, work permits and compliance processes (statistics, labour standards, Office québécois de la langue française), and you coordinate the insurance programs.
Your Profile
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 7 to 10 years of experience as an HR business partner, ideally in an SME.
- Significant experience in compensation and pay equity.
- You use AI for real, every day, not just to say you know ChatGPT. Get ready to tell us what you use it for.
- Heavy, manual processes are not your thing: you've already proven you know how to simplify the way things are done.
- Autonomous and full of drive, you catch the ball before it hits the ground, even when priorities change in a fast-moving tech environment.
- You are bilingual, which is essential to work with our talent across Canada, particularly in Ontario.
- A CHRP designation is optional.
