DESCRIPTION
Want to lead a technical team that delivers solutions that hold up, mentor developers who push their limits and make our AI, BI and OR projects shine? We're looking for someone who loves building solid architectures, guiding technical decisions and raising the level of an entire team, to take the technical reins of one of our mandates.
Direct impact on the performance of our solutions and on your team's growth, in an environment where we tell it like it is. If that's your style, you'll be in your element.
Concretely, you will:
- Define and evolve the technical architecture of solutions, keeping robustness and scalability in mind
- Mentor, coach and grow a team of data engineering experts (code reviews, pairing, feedback)
- Translate business needs into concrete, well-prioritized technical decisions
- Act as the technical reference for the AI, OR and BI teams and the mandate's stakeholders
- Keep a foot in the code: you contribute to the critical pieces and lead by example
- Ensure quality, testing and validation to guarantee reliable deliveries
- Lead production releases and good practices for versioning, MRs and CI/CD via Git/GitLab
- Integrate AI tools into your work and your team's to increase impact and efficiency
- Bonus: knowledge of Snowflake, GCP or Microsoft Fabric can be handy for some projects, but it's not required.
You'll perform well if you:
- Master Python (PySpark) and SQL to manipulate and transform data
- Have 6 to 8 years of development experience, part of it spent technically guiding a team or a project
- Have already led architecture decisions and supported a team in carrying them out
- Are comfortable with Git/GitLab, CI/CD and a structured approach to versioning and deployment
- Significant experience with Databricks and AWS
- Understand the importance of testing and validation (unit tests, QA, reviews) and know how to get them adopted
- Are an excellent communicator, able to explain technical matters in simple terms and align people toward a common goal
- Are autonomous, analytical, resourceful and able to stay the course when things get complex
- Want to contribute boldly, challenge, help others grow and improve yourself
