You're not coming to manage something that already exists. You're coming to build it.
Vooban is shifting gears. We no longer just do projects for our clients: we design, build and commercialize our own technology products. And a product that grows fast deserves a function to match, someone who equips the internal teams and the teams deployed at our clients so they know how to deploy it, sell it and support it, with the same level of rigour no matter who's in the room.
That's exactly the role we're opening. There is no enablement function at Vooban right now, so you start from a blank page, with no processes, no playbook, no program to take over. We give you a pencil, a blank sheet, and our trust (no pressure). We're looking for someone senior enough to eventually build and lead a team, but who is even more excited by the idea of doing the work themselves first. You'll define, document and build what will become the way Vooban trains, equips and supports everyone around its product, for a long time.
What You'll Do Every Day (the Foundations, Your Priority)
- Build the reference material, aka what you'll be doing most of the time;
- Document and maintain the product reference on a global scale, and derive from it all the enablement material that follows;
- Build the technical enablement program: onboarding paths, deep dives, deployment playbooks;
- Build the complete sales curriculum, from product fundamentals to objection handling and competitive positioning;
- Own the library of sales sheets, demos and reference architectures, including the security and compliance material required in a banking context;
- Build the support program: troubleshooting paths, escalation criteria, a knowledge base that lets people help themselves;
- Turn the expertise that exists only in the heads of your most experienced colleagues into artifacts everyone can actually use.
What You'll Also Do (Once the Foundations Are Standing)
- Define the enablement strategy, the operating model and the success metrics, and align leadership on them;
- Set the cadence between product releases and enablement, so teams are ready before a feature arrives, not after;
- Measure what really matters: ramp-up time, certification pass rates, deployment velocity, ticket deflection, and retire what no longer serves;
- Recruit and lead your team from the 3rd to the 6th month on, sales and marketing first, then technical enablement.
The Strengths We're Looking For
- You think strategy as much as execution: you know how to define the vision, but you're just as comfortable building it yourself;
- You're comfortable working alone on foundations for several months, with no structure already in place and no one to tell you what to do first;
- You know how to sit down with an expert who has never documented anything and come out with something concrete, clear, and that people will really use;
- You'd rather publish an imperfect first version and improve it than perfect behind the scenes something no one has seen yet;
- You see as far ahead as a VP, but you have no problem getting your hands dirty.
The Must-Haves to Join Our Team
- At least 9 years of experience in enablement, technical training, professional services or field team readiness, in a software or B2B technology company;
- You've already built an enablement function from scratch, not just taken over and optimized something that existed;
- You've already been part of a go-to-market adventure, where nothing existed before, ideally with enterprise clients in a regulated sector;
- You've been part of a founding team at some point in your career;
- French-English bilingualism: non-negotiable;
- You use AI to the fullest in the way you work: LLMs, agentic workflows, APIs, cloud deployment, all of that speaks to you;
- Hybrid position based in Montreal or Toronto, with in-person meetings about every six weeks and required travel within Canada (the ability to travel to the United States will become necessary with the expansion).
