Big Launch for our ESG Committee

We've been discussing it for a while, and now it's finally here! Our ESG (environmental, social, governance) committee was inaugurated at the Vooban Grand Bazaar. But before going into the details, what does an ESG committee actually do?

Essentially, it's a group of people overseeing environmental, social responsibility and governance issues within a company. More specifically, we want to improve our impact on the planet by adopting eco-friendly habits and responsible consumption. We also want to positively impact the community through social initiatives.

OK, but in concrete terms? We started our involvement with the Vooban Grand Bazaar. During a festive happy hour, we gave a new life to objects gathering dust in our homes! Isn't there a saying that goes: "One man's trash is another man's treasure"? No, that's not it?

In any case, we invited our colleagues to start cleaning out their wardrobes, their kids' closets, their basement and garage - in short, to pick up everything they no longer needed and carry them to the Grand Bazar, where everything was free.

At this event, everyone could choose the items they wanted, or that would find a purpose in their hands. All items not selected were sent to charity, where they will undoubtedly find their way to people in need.

In addition to offering a lively get-together for our colleagues, from which some came back with their Christmas party outfits, this activity aimed to encourage the reuse of our outdated clothes and objects and to make us more aware of our consumption (because who really needs three popcorn machines?).

We had the opportunity to prepare a substantial donation to an organization that seeks goods for people in precarious situations. And while we're at it, we collected old ink cartridges and batteries for the Mira Foundation!

Just like that, we're improving our ESG practices, and that's by no means boring! So, will you join us in spring cleaning not-even-in-spring?
